Kid-Approved After-School Snacks

It’s officially back-to-school season, which means there’s no such thing as too many ideas for brown bag lunches, quick and easy weeknight meals and last, but certainly not least, after-school snacks! Whether they hold off hunger or provide a boost of energy before the next activity, snacks are a necessity after a long day in the classroom. And while the kids are probably not too pleased about summer vacation coming to an end, these tasty snacks will lift their spirits—or at least fill their bellies!

For a healthier and lighter spin on buffalo wings, try these Buffalo Cauliflower Bites. A good way to get kids to eat their veggies, this healthy and easy snack requires just 4 ingredients and minimal cook time!
2 heads cauliflower
1 cup flour
1 cup water
1 cup Moore’s Original Buffalo Wing Sauce
  1. Preheat oven to 450°. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour and water until well combined. Pull apart cauliflower florets and place in the bowl. Stir (or shake if your bowl has a lid) cauliflower until they are coated with the batter. Place battered cauliflower on a well-greased baking sheet or greased rack on top of a baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes. Remove from the oven and place cauliflower in another large bowl.
  2. Toss cooked cauliflower with Moore’s Marinades & Sauces Original Buffalo Wing Sauce and until well coated. Place buffalo coated cauliflower on another well-greased baking sheet or greased rack on top of a baking sheet and bake for another 30 minutes, or until cauliflower is beginning to brown. Remove from oven and allow to cool for a bit before serving. Serve alongside celery and ranch or blue cheese dressing.
Three ingredients and three steps is all it takes to quickly mix up this veggie dip. Serve it with carrots, broccoli, cucumber, cauliflower and more to make a beautiful veggie platter!
2 cup sour cream
2 Tb Moore's Original Marinade
1 packet of onion dip mix
  1. Mix all ingredients together.
  2. Chill in refrigerator for 2 hours.
  3. Serve with assorted vegetables for dipping.
For a heartier after-school snack, these homemade hot pockets are the way to go. Trust us, your kids (and you!) will love these cheesy treats!
