5 Things You Didn't Know You Could Slow Cook

Huevos Rancheros
Low maintenance brunch in a bowl that you'll want to make again and again.
Ingredients

1 pound sausage meat
-
1 red bell pepper, diced
-
1 green bell pepper, diced
-
1 can tomatoes, diced
-
1/2 cup onion, chopped
-
1/2 cup jalapeños, sliced
-
1 1/2 Tbsp. cumin
-
1/4 Tbsp. cayenne pepper
-
3 Tbsp. Moore's Harissa Hot Sauce
-
1 can tomato sauce
-
1 can black beans
-
1 pack of mini tortillas
-
2 cups shredded pepper jack cheese
-
4 eggs
Instructions
-
In a saucepan, cook sausage, peppers, tomatoes, onions and jalapeños until the meat is almost done and vegetables are softened.

Add in cumin, cayenne pepper and Moore's Harissa Hot Sauce, and let simmer.

Add tomato sauce and black beans to the sauce pan and bring to a boil.

Grease your slow cooker well with butter or non-stick spray.

Cover the bottom of the slow cooker in tortillas.

Alternate layers of cheese, sauce and tortillas until the slow cooker is full.

Set the cooker on high for 4 hours.

When you're ready to serve, fry eggs separately and serve on top.
Buffalo Ranch Chicken Deep Dish Pizza
A make-at-home Chicago style classic.

Cut raw chicken into nugget-sized pieces.

Marinate the chicken in Moore's Original Marinade for 30 minutes to 1 hour.

In a saucepan, sauté bell peppers, onions, garlic and green onions.

In a separate skillet, melt 1/2 of the butter and cook chicken until cooked-through.

Transfer chicken to a cutting board and chop into smaller, topping-sized pieces. Use remaining butter to coat the inside of your slow cooker.

Spread the pizza dough into an oval about 2 inches longer and wider than your slow cooker and place into cooker.

Spread an even layer of Moore's Creamy Ranch Buffalo on top of dough.

Sprinkle mozzarella, meat and vegetables evenly, creating a thick layer on the dough. Make sure the edges of the crust don't get buried in toppings.

Cover the slow cooker with a paper towel and close the lid. Pull tight. This captures excess moisture.

Cook 2-4 hours on high.
Brisket
Our take on slow cooking brisket to perfection.
Ingredients

3 whole onions, sliced

10 whole garlic cloves, peeled

1 Tbsp. salt

1 tsp. pepper
-
1 tsp. garlic powder
-
1 tsp. onion powder
-
1 tsp. oregano
-
4 pound brisket, first cut recommended
-
2 cups beef broth
-
3 Tbsp. soy sauce
-
1/2 cup Moore's Original Marinade
Instructions

Cover bottom of slow cooker with half of the onions and 5 garlic cloves.

In a bowl, mix salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder and oregano together to make a brisket rub.

Cover brisket in rub and place it fat side up in the slow cooker.

Mix beef broth, soy sauce and Moore's Original Marinade together in a bowl and pour over brisket inside the slow cooker.

Cook on low for 8 hours.

Wrap brisket in foil and let rest for 20 minutes before serving.

1 1/2 cup cornmeal

1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour

2 Tbsp. sugar

1 Tbsp. baking powder

1 tsp. salt

1 tsp. chili powder

2 cups buttermilk

1 Tbsp. Moore's Jalapeño Hot Sauce

2 large eggs
-
2 Tbsp. unsalted butter

Mix cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and chili powder together.

In a separate bowl, mix buttermilk, Moore's Jalapeño Hot Sauce and eggs together.

Coat bottom and sides of slow cooker with butter.

Whisk dry and wet ingredients together in a large bowl until fully incorporated.

Pour into slow cooker. Make sure the mixture is spread evenly.

Cook on high for 2 hours. Let it sit for 20+ minutes before serving.
Honey Buffalo Wings
We all know that wings are best prepared on a grill or smoker, but these slow cooker wings are a great back-up plan.

In a large slow cooker combine Moore's Original Buffalo Wing Sauce, butter and honey. Stir to combine.

Add chicken wings and stir to coat evenly.

Cook on high for 3 hours or low for 6 hours.

Preheat oven to broil. Remove wings and place on a foil-lined baking sheet.
-
Place pan in broiler for 2-3 minutes or until the wings start to brown.

Top with sesame seeds. Enjoy!
