Your Very Own Father’s Day Menu

Your Very Own Father’s Day Menu Sunday, June 15th is Father’s Day! Do you know what you’ll be doing for dear ole Dad this year?

Now that it’s officially grilling season, why not grill him up that thick, juicy steak that he’s been dying for? You know he deserves it because let’s face it; Dad doesn’t ask for too much throughout the year, and it’s his special day to eat and do whatever he desires!  

Look! We even put a Father’s Day Menu together for you!

For the entrée we have Moore’s Family Steak Marinade Recipe. It’s the perfect marinade for whatever type of steak Dad’s craving.

Moore’s Family Steak Marinade Recipe
    2 tbsp Moore's Original Marinade
    3 tbsp red wine vinegar
    1 tbsp dry mustard
    ½ cup olive or vegetable oil
    2 tbsp soy sauce
    2 cloves garlic
    ½ tsp pepper
  1. In jar combine ingredients; cover.
  2. Shake vigorously to blend.
  3. Use as marinade for flank or chuck steaks. Brush steaks with additional unused marinade while grilling or broiling.
No steak entrée is complete without the sides.
Moore’s Rice Pilaf Recipe
    1 cup Moore's Original Marinade
    ¾ cup chopped carrots
    3 cups chicken broth
    ¾ cup chopped parsley
    ½ stick butter
    2 cups long grain rice
    ½ cup chopped green onions
    1 cup nuts finely chopped (pine, almond, pecan)
    ¾ cup finely chopped celery no strings
  1. Boil together the chicken broth and Moore's Marinade.
  2. Put the butter in a separate skillet and heat until very hot.
  3. When butter is very hot, add the rice and stir constantly until all the rice is well coated with butter and is very hot (about 5 minutes).
  4. Remove from heat.
  5. Pour the rice and butter into a casserole dish and add the boiling broth and marinade.
  6. Put a cover on the casserole dish and cook for ½ hour in the oven at 375° F.
  7. Remove from oven and add the chopped nuts and vegetables, stirring the mixture well.
  8. Return to the oven for ½ hour.
Vegetables a la Moore’s Recipe
    5 oz Moore's Original Marinade
    5 oz Italian dressing
    1 red, yellow, orange and green bell pepper
    1 vidalia onion
    1 cup mushrooms
  1. Chop bell peppers, onions & mushrooms.
  2. Marinade vegetables in Italian Dressing and Moore's Marinade for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Place vegetables on grill using a screen pan.
  4. Let vegetables cook down for about 30 minutes.
After fixing Dad this yummy meal, he may or may not be able to eat dessert. But just in case, we suggest having something sweet ready. Maybe this Raspberry Lemon Cheesecake?
