Roll ups, Sandwiches and Sliders: Brown Bag Lunches for Kids The kids are finally back in school, which means it’s back to having the lunches packed by the crack of dawn. Luckily, many lunches can be prepped the night before, which makes it much easier on you during the busy morning rush.

Just prep your sandwich and roll up fillings before bedtime, and you’ll be all set for assembly in the morning!

Moore’s Honey of a Turkey Ranch Roll Ups
    2 cups Moore's Original Marinade
    1 5-lb turkey breast skin removed
    1 cup honey
    1 pack of tortillas
    1 head of lettuce, chopped
    1 Globe tomato, chopped
    1 cup ranch dressing
  1. Marinate turkey in Moore's Marinade and honey for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Turn turkey breast occasionally
  3. Remove from marinade and place in a large oven-cooking bag
  4. Close bag with nylon tie. Cut six half inch slits in the top of the bag
  5. Insert meat thermometer into center of the meat and roast at 325° for 1 to 1 ½ hours or until meat thermometer registers at 170° F
  6. Cut turkey into slices to desired thinness
  7. Spread ranch on tortillas and add turkey, lettuce and tomato
  8. Roll up tightly and cut in half for serving
Moore’s Ham & Swiss Sliders
12 Hawaiian dinner rolls, sliced open
12 pieces of Ham
12 pieces of Swiss Cheese, cut to fit roll size
1 stick butter, melted
1/2 T. minced onion
1/2 T. yellow mustard
1 T. Moore’s Original Marinade
1/2 T. poppy seeds
1 tsp. sugar
  1. Melt butter in small saucepan.  Remove from heat
  2. To the melted butter add onion, mustard, Moore’s, sugar and poppy seeds.  Stir to mix 
  3. Separate rolls and place the bottoms in a sprayed 9”x13” pyrex dish
  4. Brush butter mixture over the bottoms of the rolls 
  5. Top each roll with a piece of ham and a piece of Swiss cheese 
  6. Brush the tops of the rolls with the butter mixture as you are topping each sandwich (If you have any butter mixture left over, you can brush the tops of the rolls too)
  7. At this point you can cover and refrigerate up to 2 days before baking 
  8. If you are ready to bake now, cover the dish with foil and bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes 
  9. Then uncover and bake for about 5 more minutes or until cheese is melted and rolls are golden brown

Moore’s Buffalo Cheese Straws
    ½ cup (1 stick) butter, salted, room temperature
    2 cups shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese, room temperature
    1 2/3 cup all-purpose flour
    ½ t. salt
    4-5 T. Moore’s Buffalo Wing Sauce
  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees
  2. In a mixer, cream the butter and the cheese.
  3. Add salt, flour, and Moore’s Buffalo Wing Sauce and continue to mix until combined thoroughly
  4. Scoop the mixture into a cookie press fitted with a flat, ridged tip*
  5. Pipe the dough onto a lightly greased cookie sheet in long strips and then cut in 2-3” rectangles with a sharp knife.
  6. Bake for 14-16 minutes or until golden brown
*If you do not have a cookie press available, you can refrigerate the dough for 30 minutes, then roll out on a lightly floured surface to ¼ “ thick.  Cut into circles or small rectangles before baking.
