Refreshing Summer Sides
A perfectly-grilled piece of chicken, steak or seafood is our summer go-to, but to complete a cookout, delicious sides are a necessity. Made with fresh ingredients, these side dishes are not only as light and refreshing as they look, but they also pair perfectly with your favorite piece of meat or fish. Plus, these no-cook recipes are ideal for preparing during the hot and sticky dog days of summer. While your meat is on the grill, you can toss one of these recipes together in a jiffy! 
 
The Moore’s Zesty Summer Salad brings fresh, summer flavor to any meal, and we suggest pairing it with grilled chicken. While your grill is going, try grilling your corn for an extra smoky flavor! 
 
Ingredients: 
2 cups green beans, blanched and halved
½ cup lime juice
2 radishes, sliced
3 heirloom tomatoes, diced
2 ears of corn, grilled
1 tablespoon cilantro
1 cup Moore’s Zesty Garden Herb marinade
¼ cup green onion, chopped

Made with Moore’s Blue Cheese Buffalo Wing Sauce, this tasty slaw is great served with burgers or pulled pork!
 
Ingredients: 
½ cup Moore’s Blue Cheese Buffalo Wing Sauce
1 large carrot, peeled and grated
½ cup celery, chopped
1 celery root, grated
1 large jícama, grated
¼ cup Vidalia onion, sliced
¼ cup green bell pepper, sliced
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
1 tablespoon mayonnaise
Tortilla strips
¼ cup cilantro, chopped
½ cup blue cheese crumbles
 
Instructions: 
  1. In a large bowl, combine carrot, celery, celery root, jícama, onion, green bell pepper and apple vinegar.
  2. Pour in Moore’s Blue Cheese Buffalo Wing Sauce and mayonnaise, and mix well.
  3. Garnish with tortilla strips, cilantro and blue cheese crumbles.
This chilled veggie side is a great make-ahead dish and pairs well with just about anything. You can even add beef or chicken to make it a one-dish dinner! 
 
Ingredients: 
1 bottle Moore's Original Marinade
6 stalks celery
1 small jar pimiento
½ cup oil
1 small can peas
1 red onion, diced
1 pepper, finely diced
1 small can Lima beans
1 small can diced carrots
1 small can corn niblets
1 cup vinegar
1 small can green beans
1 tsp paprika
1 cup sugar
½ tsp salt
 
Instructions:
  1. Drain beans, corn, carrots, green beans and peas.
  2. Cut up onion, pepper, celery and pimiento.
  3. Mix vinegar, oil, paprika, sugar and salt using a blender.
  4. Combine all ingredients into a large serving bowl. 
  5. Pour Moore's Marinade over vegetables, to taste, then chill.
  6. Stir it up before you serve it and add garnish around the side.
  7. Add beef or chicken to make it a meal!
