Moore’s Traditional Holiday Dinner
What’s your go-to holiday dinner? Whether you enjoy an elegant menu or comforting classics, we realize every family has their own holiday traditions and favorite dishes. While it’s important to include those beloved dishes in your holiday menu, don’t be afraid to introduce new recipes. Who knows, they may just become a new family favorite! 
 
Here at Moore’s, we add #MooreFlavor, of course, but keep our holiday dinner traditional with Moore’s Sweet Baked Ham paired with Buffalo Scalloped Potatoes and Buttery Green Beans. Check out the recipes below! 
 
Ingredients: 
¼ cup Moore's Original Marinade
2 lbs. fully cooked boneless ham
1 cup crushed pineapple with juice
¼ cup brown sugar
1 tsp ginger chopped

½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp coriander
½ cup maraschino cherries and sliced pineapple
 
Instructions: 
  1. Mix all ingredients except ham.
  2. Place ham and mixture in cooking bag.
  3. Marinade for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
  4. Place ham in roasting or baking dish, reserving ½ of the marinade.
  5. Roast the ham at a 325° oven for 1½ hours, brushing every half hour with extra marinade.
  6. Garnish with maraschino cherries and pineapple slices.

5-6 Russet potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
4 T butter
3 T flour
½ cup Moore's Buffalo Sauce
1 ½ Cups half and half
3 cups Provolone cheese, shredded
salt and pepper to taste
 
Instructions: 
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Prepare casserole dish by spraying with cooking spray.
  3. In a medium saucepan, melt butter, then add ½ cup half and half and flour. Whisk until smooth.
  4. Add the remaining half and half and Moore's Buffalo Sauce and stir to combine.
  5. In the prepared casserole dish, layer 1/3 of the potatoes, sprinkle salt and pepper, 1/3 of the sauce, and 1 cup of the provolone.  Repeat layers 2 more times ending with the last cup of cheese on top.
  6. Cover the dish with lid or foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  7. Remove cover and continue to bake for additional 15-20 minutes or until hot, bubbly, and golden brown.

1 lb. green beans
6 cups water
2 tsp salt
3 tbsp. butter
1 tsp Moore's Original Marinade
Dash of ground black pepper
¼ cup Parmesan cheese, grated
 
Instructions: 
  1. Prepare green beans by snapping off ends.
  2. Add water to medium pot and bring to a boil.
  3. Add green beans and cook uncovered for 5-7 minutes until tender.
  4. Using pot holders, drain green beans in a colandar and then rinse with cold running water.
  5. Melt butter in saucepan over medium heat then add Moore's Original Marinade, salt and pepper.
  6. Stir in green beans for approximately 2-3 minutes until coated with sauce and warmed throughout.
  7. Place on serving platter and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
