Moore’s Marinades & Sauces Raises $10,000 for OBR!
As the summer comes to an end, we are thrilled to share that Moore’s raised $10,000 to support Operation BBQ Relief
(OBR), a not-for-profit that provides hot meals to areas affected by natural disasters across the United States. Moore’s pledged to donate 10¢ for every bottle of marinade or sauce purchased during July and August. Our goal was to in to raise awareness about OBR and help inform communities across the nation of the impact it has on the lives of those affected by disasters. We’re so happy to have reached our goal!
“Moore’s generous support of our organization is very much felt by Operation BBQ Relief as a whole,” said David Marks, chief operating officer at Operation BBQ Relief. “We appreciate those who purchased Moore’s products during this time period and encourage people who are interested in continuing their support to join us as a volunteer as we will continue to need support when disaster strikes.”
Moore’s would also like to thank those who participated in the #MooreHelp social media contest
and helped spread the word about the OBR fundraiser. You helped us serve 10,000 meals!
The $10,000 donation directly supports OBR’s recent deployment to the Baton Rouge, Louisiana area that was severely affected by tragic flooding. David Bell of Moore’s and Bryan McLarty of Big Fish BBQ, one of Moore’s BBQ teams based out of Dallas, joined OBR in its deployment to Louisiana, offering assistance by serving meals to the community.
“It is an honor to partner with Operation BBQ Relief and provide much needed support to such a beneficial cause,” said David Bell. “It was important for Moore’s to not only help increase awareness of the impact that this organization makes, but to volunteer our time by assisting in the deployment to Louisiana.”
