Moore’s Marinades’ Best #MooreFlavor Recipe Challenge At Moore’s we’re proud of being from the South, specifically Birmingham, Alabama. Because we truly love our hometown and all the talented chefs in the area, we decided to hold our Best #MooreFlavor Recipe Challenge at the Jefferson State Culinary & Hospitality Institute in Birmingham.

Over the past couple of years Birmingham, Alabama, also known as the Magic City, has grown into a place with a huge appreciation for good food. Birmingham even earned the number one spot on Zagat's list of America's Next Hot Food Cities in 2015. Not to mention, local culinary stars such as Frank Stitt have recently been featured in Southern Living Magazine and Garden & Gun. There’s no denying that Birmingham is full of talented chefs.

With all the talent in the city you can bet there are many gifted chefs attending the Jefferson State Culinary & Hospitality Institute. Eight of those chefs competed in our Best #MooreFlavor Recipe Challenge where they were asked to develop their best recipe using one or more of our wing sauces, including our Buffalo, Blue Cheese Buffalo, Creamy Ranch Buffalo, Honey BBQ and Asian Teriyaki Wing Sauce.

In order to select a winner, four of us from the Moore’s team were lucky enough to be on the expert panel of taste testers and judge the dishes based on presentation and flavor. Tough job right? While every single chef came up with an absolutely amazing recipe, only one chef could win the prize- a scholarship from Moore’s.

We’ll announce the winning recipe on Facebook this Thursday! And trust us, you’re going to want to make these incredibly delicious wings for the big game!
