Keep Your New Year’s Resolutions with Asian Style Salmon and More Healthy Dishes We hope you had a wonderful time bringing in the New Year with your friends and family! Now that it’s here, it’s time to get started on working towards those resolutions.

Like most everyone out there, you probably made a New Year’s Resolution to get healthy, and we want to help you stick to it this year.

In the South, we love our food. If you take away the flavor and leave us with a plain, boring salad, that’s not a healthy diet we’re going to stick to for very long. But if we can have a delicious meal and it still be healthy, well that’s something we can do!

Here are 4 healthy dishes that are full of flavor that will keep you on track to becoming a healthier you in 2015!

Asian-Style Grilled Fish
Ingredients
½ cup Moore's Original Marinade
½ cup dry white wine
3 cloves crushed garlic
2 tbsp. sesame oil
1 tbsp. grated ginger root
2 6oz salmon fillets
 
Instructions
  1. Mix Moore's Original Marinade, white wine, garlic, sesame oil, and ginger
  2. Pour marinade mixture over seafood and marinate for 1-2 hours
  3. Grill or broil as desired
 
 
Shrimp-O
Ingredients
½ cup Moore's Original Marinade
3 tbsp. crushed red pepper flakes
3 tbsp. granulated sugar
1 lb. peeled and cleaned shrimp
¼ cup tequila
Juice of 2 limes
 
Instructions
  1. Whisk all ingredients together in a bowl and pour over shrimp
  2. Marinade for at least 30 minutes
  3. Grill shrimp basting with marinade and serve
 
 
We Want Moore Chicken
Ingredients
½ cup Moore's Original Marinade
¼ cup Orange Juice Concentrate
6 8-oz Chicken Breasts
¼ cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil
 
Instructions
  1. Combine Moore's Marinade and orange juice concentrate in a resealable plastic bag, reserve some for later
  2. Add chicken breasts and allow 30 minutes to marinate, heat grill to medium high while waiting
  3. Place chicken breasts on prepared grill, drizzle with olive oil and grind pepper on top
  4. Grill 3 minutes, baste with unused marinade mixture, grill 2 minutes then turn
  5. Drizzle oil on top of chicken and add pepper - baste then cook 3 additional minutes
 
For a healthy whole meal solution, Vegetables a la Moore’s will go perfectly with any of these entrees above. Plus, these vegetables are available all winter long.
 
Vegetables a la Moore’s
Ingredients
5 oz Moore's Original Marinade
5 oz Italian dressing
1 red, yellow, orange and green bell pepper
1 vidalia onion
1 cup mushrooms
 
Instructions
1.       Chop bell peppers, onions and mushrooms
2.       Marinade vegetables in Italian Dressing and Moore's Marinade for at least 30 minutes
3.       Place vegetables on grill using a screen pan
4.       Let vegetables cook down for about 30 minutes
