How to Host a Festive Feast for the Fourth

How to Host a Festive Feast for the Fourth
The Fourth of July is almost here, which means it’s time to round up your patriotic décor, fire up the grill and plan a festive, all-American feast! Party planning can be a daunting task, so we’ve mapped out 5 simple steps to help you throw together a festive celebration.

1. Plan the décor. Red, white and blue decorations are essential for the Fourth, but be sure to determine what decorations you need in advance. From American flags to patriotic pinwheels, there are plenty of ways to deck out your space. Remember, red, white and blue-colored dishes can also double as décor! For some inspiration, check out our #MooreFlavor for the Fourth Pinterest board.

2. Create the menu. We may be biased, but food is the most important part of any celebration—especially for the Fourth of July. Burgers, barbecue and satisfying sides are a must-have for your patriotic gettogether.

Here are a few of our favorite recipes for the Fourth:
3. Get competitive. Add some friendly competition to the occasion with outdoor games, such as cornhole, horseshoes, bocce ball or giant Jenga. Not only will games keep the kids entertained, but your adult guests will love them too!

4. Don’t forget a sweet, summer treat! From berry trifles to patriotic popsicles, your Fourth of July menu is not complete without a sweet treat.

5. Fire up the grill. Once you have decorated your space, planned the menu and set out some yard games, there’s nothing left to do but fire up the grill and get cooking!

We hope these tips and recipes are helpful in planning an unforgettable Fourth of July feast. Happy Fourth of July from our Moore’s family to yours!
