3 Easy Slow Cooker Recipes for Your Family Getaway Looking forward to your family getaway this summer? Maybe you’re spending time on the lake, heading to the beach or setting up camp in the back yard for a little stay-cation. But while you’re out having all that fun riding in the boat or building castles in the sand, who’s going to prepare dinner?

Not you! Leave it all to the crockpot. Just throw all of the ingredients together in the morning before you head out and come back to a fully-cooked, homemade dinner!

Here are some of the yummiest dishes to come back to after a long day of family fun!

Moore’s Slow Cooker BBQ Chicken Sliders
Ingredients
6 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
½ cup water
1 bottle Moore’s Honey BBQ Sauce
Slider buns
 
Directions
  1. Pour water in the bottom of the crockpot. 
  2. Place chicken breasts in and cover with ½ bottle of the Honey BBQ Sauce
  3. Cook on low for 5 hours
  4. Remove lid and shred chicken breasts with a fork
  5. Add the remaining BBQ sauce and continue cooking for 30 more minutes
  6. Serve on slider buns with your favorite toppings
 
 
Moore’s Slow Cooker Sweet & Sour Meatballs
Ingredients
6 pounds frozen meatballs
32 oz. grape jelly
36 oz. chili sauce
½ cup Moore’s Original Marinade
1/3 tsp. black pepper
 
Directions
  1. Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl (except meatballs) and whisk together until mixed
  2. Add frozen meatballs to a cold crockpot
  3. Pour the mixture over the meatballs and gently stir until meatballs are coated in the sauce
  4. Cook in crockpot on low for 7-8 hours, stirring occasionally
  5. Serve over noodles or mashed potatoes as a meal or serve with toothpicks as an appetizer
 
Moore’s Slow Cooker Marinated Beef Tips and Rice
Ingredients
4-5 lb. Beef Roast cut into small cubes or Beef Tips
1 Bottle Moore's Original Marinade (or enough to cover cubed beef)
2 cans Cream of Mushroom soup
1 to 1-1/2 cups of your favorite Merlot
Package of chopped mushrooms (optional)
White rice or mashed potatoes
 
Directions
  1. Cube the roast in small pieces and cover completely with Moore's Original Marinade at least overnight in fridge, turning several times
  2. In large crockpot, combine marinated beef cubes (discarding marinade), along with the 2 cans Cream of Mushroom soup, and Merlot. Cook in crockpot on high for 4 hours or low for 8 hours
  3. Serve with white rice or mashed potatoes. Don’t forget to spoon over ample amounts of the gravy!
